XRPL Labs announces its partnership with Xahau Ledger, promising to accelerate the adoption of XRP and XRP Ledger in retail through smart contract functionality.

XRPL Labs Partners with Xahau Ledger for XRP Retail Adoption

In a strategic move that’s electrifying the XRP community, XRPL Labs announced its involvement with Xahau Ledger, a smart contract sidechain designed for the XRP Ledger (XRPL) ecosystem. This collaboration aims to usher in a new era of retail adoption for XRP and XRPL.

On August 28, XRPL Labs founder Wietse Wind announced the release of a whitepaper for Xahau Ledger. The whitepaper was published in collaboration with various industry players like GateHub, Alloy Networks, and EvernodeXRPL. Wind explained that this initiative would unlock the potential for building "things with everyday life utility."

Wietse Wind committed to keeping all developments open-source for the greater good of the XRPL ecosystem. “We will continue to build for the entire XRP Ledger ecosystem, and everything we build will be open for the entire ecosystem to benefit from," he stated. This vision includes embracing a multi-chain ecosystem, encompassing both the XRPL Mainnet and the new Xahau Ledger.

In addition to other developments, XRPL Labs plans to upgrade the Xumm wallet to support multiple XRPL Protocol networks, including the XRPL Mainnet and Xahau Ledger. This is in line with their vision of accelerating retail adoption of XRP.

According to Wind, the Xahau Ledger is expected to be live by the end of the year, marking a significant milestone for retail adoption of the XRP Ledger protocol.

The partnership between XRPL Labs and Xahau Ledger could be a game-changer for the XRP community, opening new possibilities for smart contracts and retail adoption. As we move closer to the end of the year, all eyes are on this dynamic collaboration and the new functionalities it promises to bring to the XRPL ecosystem.
